On 3rd July we joined together with the choir of St Katharine's Church, Southbourne for a special Choral Evensong to welcome back the vicar from his study leave. At the start of the service the Vicar dedicated the bell, which has recently had major repairs. He then rang it for the first time since it left the church to be worked on. The service was very well supported.
There was special music sung by the choir, as well as hymns for everyone to join in.
The music was as follows:
Introit Anthem, 'Hail Glorious Spirits' by Christopher Tye
Responses by Smith
The setting to the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis was Stanford in B flat.
Anthem, 'O thou the central orb' by Charles Wood
