Concert 16th October 2011 at St Andrew's Church, Florence Road, Boscombe




On Sunday 16th October we  performied a concert at St. Andrew’s Florence Road, Boscombe. The choir gave a varied programme and were warmly welcomed by a very appreciative audience. Choir items ranged from pieces written during the 17th century to those composed in the late 20th. (They included  the simple but very effective Elgar 'Ave Verum' which features on our logo.) Solo items were peformed by Becky McCleery, Christopher Hammond and Malcolm Wood.  The church provided refreshments after the concert and many choir members stayed to chat with the audience. Admission was free with a retiring collection in aid of a charity of the church's choice.
